In continuation of the previous article, “Most awaited luxury cars launching in 2019,” here we conclude with few more most awaited launches for the year 2020.
- Apple Car 2020
Apple’s Project Titan is no hidden secret, but the company is not yet opening up all the details about its future product. Although the open letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), by Apple shows that it is clamouring for the opportunity to test its product on a public road which can only be a car.
- 2020 Tesla Pickup
Although Elon Musk is ousted from Tesla as Chairman, with a fine of $20 million, but he still remains the CEO to the company. If his Master Plan,” is to be manifested then a “new kind of pickup truck,” is on the cards. The idea of instant torque and attractive design makes it an interesting proposal although the details are a bit hazy. However, it won’t arrive before 2020.
- Lotus Elise 2020
The year 2010 saw a series of stunning concept launches by Lotus including the Elise, Evora and others. If rumor is to be believed then another stunner Elise 2020 is on its way. The new Elise will be lighter, and more powerful than the model that it’s replacing. The only flip side is that we’ll have to wait at least 2 years to see it.
- Ferrari SUV 2020
Although all the details are under wraps, but Ferrari SUV is on for sure as confirmed by CEO Sergio Marchionne. You will be amazed to see the size of Ferrari SUV if you brood over Lamborghini SUV. Ferrari SUV will be high-riding utility vehicle within the Ferrari lineup, though, it is expected that 2 years down the line is what the time frame is set. FX16 is the project code name as Titan for Apple. It will share its platform with Ferrari’s replacement to the GTC4 Lusso.
- 2020 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Ford Mustang has been able to save itself from slaughter as Ford is killing its sedan cars for more SUV’s. But going by the statement of Ford, a Mach 1 electric SUV with Mustang cues is lined up in a few years. So Mustang sedan may also become an antique with next SUV launch.
- Lamborghini Sedan 2020
Lamborghini Sports Sedan can be a probable lunch after Urus. It may look like with cues borrowed from Urus and the Huracan before Urus. The Italian sports car maker may be preparing for a four-door sports sedan by the end of the year 2020.
- McLaren BP23 2020
McLaren has been known for many outrageous cars and adding up its line will be BP23, after the Senna. In just a few years, the British marque will introduce the BP23, a torch bearer to the beloved F1, and a reimagining of the potent P1 that came before it. It’s been rumoured as the “fastest McLaren ever.”
- Maserati GranTurismo 2020
Many times some things just come out of the hiding and so is the Maserati GranTurismo. Many have even forgotten about it, but after a hiatus of ten years with no change in its overall look the beats is back but is in need of a complete overhaul. The rendering seen here isn’t mind-boggling but it keeps the iconic lines of the sports coupe intact while bringing it into the modern era. The flipside is the wait till 2020.
- Aston Martin Mid-Engined Sports Car 2020
In the wraps is Ashton Martin’s Valkyrie young brother, but should be addressed as a baby to million-dollar Valkyrie, as it will be affordable and mid-engined. Aston Martin is planning to compete with cars like the Ferrari 488 and McLaren 720S as they are also of the same lineup. Details are yet to be announced but it will be on the tracks in a year or two as one of former Ferrari engineer, Max Szwaj has confirmed it.
- Porsche Taycan 2020
Tesla led by example in electric vehicle and following its footsteps will be Porsche’s first fully electric vehicle, the Taycan. It should be a stunner when it debuts. Full production run is slated for 2020, but prototypes have already been making laps at the Nurburgring. The Taycan will be able to sprint to 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in about 3.0 seconds and start at somewhere near $100,000, as per the best estimates we had.
