After a long wait for over a year for Oreo update i.e. Android 8.1 on Moto G5 and G5S Plus phones, the update was finally released on 19-09-2018 in India, Brazil and Mexico only. The European country will have to wait longer. The same information was made available in the Lenovo forum.
Now after the update, another issue popped up regarding the hotspot connection. Hotspot which you as working perfectly fine before the Oreo update stopped for no reason and other devices and mobiles were not able to connect to the updated Moto G5 and G5S Plus.
Now we will show you with pictures stepwise solution as to how to fix the hotspot problem.
Step 1.
Go to settings
Step 2.
Open Mobile and Internet
View these:
- How to find lost Android phone
- How to record WhatsApp call on android
- How to remove your mobile number from Facebook
Step 3.
Open Mobile Network, click advanced
Step 4.
Open Access Point Names
Step 5.
Click on the 3 dots on the right top corner. You will get a pop up: Reset to default.
Click on reset and Viola! Your Moto G5/G5 S Plus hotspot is up and running like before.
