Yesterday, at Google event in New York, Google a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. has launched Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones. In the year 2016, it has first launched the Google Pixel range of smartphones.
Pixel range of smartphones was launched to take on the flagship phones of Apple and Samsung.
With in-built Smart Assistant and nifty camera features, Google has termed the new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones as the “most helpful device in your life.”
Both the versions of Google Pixel will be available in India from 1 November for you to put your hands on.
Here are the features you need to know about Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL.
Price and Storage:
Pixel 3 is priced at Rs 71,000 (64GB) and Rs 80,000 (128GB)
Pixel 3 XL will come with a price tag of Rs 83,000 (64GB) and Rs 92,000 (128GB).
Camera:
Moving a little apart from the crowd from top-end smartphones in the market, the Pixel 3 and 3 XL sports only a single rear camera. Both phones feature single 12MP camera at the back. They instead have dual front-facing cameras.
Camera features:
Google is touting features like Super Res Zoom, Night Sight low-light mode and Photobooth mode.
Operating System:
Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are loaded with Android 9.0 Pie, being the first one in the market.
Processor:
Also the latest in chipsets, both the Google smartphones will run on Qualcomm’s top-end chipset Snapdragon 845.
RAM:
Both Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL come in 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage variants. There was scope of more RAM upto 6GB but it may have been left out for reasons better-known to Google.
Display:
Pixel 3 sports 5.5-inch display An increase of .5 inch from last year’s Pixel 2 smartphone (5-inch).
Pixel 2 XL features 6.3-inch display. Pixel 3 XL is larger than its predecessor Pixel 2 XL (5.9-inch) by .4 inch.
Battery:
Pixel 3 has 2915 mAh battery capacity which le Pixel 3 XL has 3430 mAh battery capacity.
Color Options:
The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL comes in three colors options with not so common names: Just Black, Clearly White and Not Pink.
Charger:
The new Pixel 3 smartphones come with an 18 Watt fast charger in the box, which claims to offer 7 hours of battery in 15 minutes of charge.
Security:
The duo pack Titan M, a security chip custom-designed by Google, which the company claims makes the devices most secure phone the company has built yet.
Water & Dust resistance:
Both Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL come with IP68 water and dust resistant rating.
Headphone:
Both Pixel 3 variants come with Pixel USB-C earbuds and a USB-C Digital to 3.5 mm headphone adapter in the box
Looks:
Talking about the looks, Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones may not surprise you but will definitely delight you. Both smartphones retain almost the same look and feel as their predecessor’s Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
Both the smartphones have a glass back with matte and glossy textures in two-tone backing.

The new smartphones will take on Apple’s new iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max; iPhone XR; and Samsung’s Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+ and Galaxy Note 9.which have been launched recently in India and abroad.
